KRIAH - HEBREW READING

Through learning to read Hebrew, our students are able to connect to their Jewish identity through the Torah's original language. The younger children learn the letters and vowels, and the older grades use the Alephchamp program, which allows the students to study at their own pace, and reach their own set goals. This subject also familiarizes our students with the Siddur- Prayer Book, allowing them to feel comfortable in the Synagogue.

TORAH

This subject offers an overview of the weekly Torah portion, its highlights and practical lessons relevant to our day and age.

HOLIDAYS

Each holiday celebrates a distinctive story. The students will learn the story, it's message and the rituals and practices. Lessons on each Jewish holiday with hands-on demonstrations fill the calendar as we proceed from Rosh Hashana through the holiday of Shavuot.

JEWISH VALUES

Perhaps the most important component of a Jewish education is the understanding that our religion is based on a G‑d given set of values and ethics. Our students learn the Mitzvot and gain an appreciation for their relevance in the 21st century.

ISRAEL

Our students will attain an affection for our heritage and the uniqueness of our homeland Israel.

TEFILAH - PRAYER

PrayerOur goal is for the students to be familiar with the prayers and the messages of the prayers.

MITZVOT

The students study the rituals and values that help us to live meaningful lives, in a creative and energetic manner.

JEWISH HISTORY

The history of the Jewish people is each Jewish person's story. We begin with the six days of creation and move on through time. The children will explore our fascinating history, meet biblical and historical personalities, and will be inspired to add their own link to the chain of Jewish history.

The underlying strength of our school is in its general warmth and spirit, providing a learning experience in an atmosphere of joy and liveliness. Extra activities include Friday night dinners, Shabbat Junior congregation, school contests, field trips, hands-on educational family workshops. We look forward to sharing this great experience with you and your family.
